Tired

Friday morning started off AWFUL. I walked out of the house with a flat tire and my gas light on. I went down to Wes-T-Go down the road and I grabbed, what I thought was the air because I wasn't paying attention, the water hose and sprayed myself with water. Then I went ahead and got the REAL air and filled my tire. After that I pulled up to the gas pump and realized that I couldn't find my debit card, I had left it at home SOMEWHERE. I called Matt and he said it was on the living room floor, thanks Riley for that. I went inside and wrote a check and was running really late for work now.

I got to work and my dear friends had been watching my sudents for me. Of course Cyree comes to me to talk and she just looks at me and I fall apart. She can do that easily. After I got it all together, I started on my busy day with my third graders. It was good but crazy, as most days teaching are. Below is me taking a breather at the end of the day. Just daydreaming of my great afternoon ahead of friends and drinks.

Afer my tired week at work, Crystal met me at Abuelos (is there any other place?) for some adult beverages and some chips and queso. Cyree decided to stop in too, which made the get together even better. Of course we had our regular swirls and 'fabulous' chat. I love those girls with the passion. After Abuelos Cyree headed home and Crystal and I decided to go look around at the Weekend Fling. It was alright, but not quite what I had hoped for, but of course I didn't leave there empty handed. I bought a cute pair of hoop earrings with CZ all around. LOVE THEM and a pretty good price. A day with girls is just what I needed to help my crazy day.

I decided to go get a pedi Friday night after coming in from my fun date with Crystal. The boys went to Best Buy and played and bought some new goodies (new iPod for Matt). I always enjoy my pedis, but I was a bit disappointed in the guy that did it. I decided to get a deluxe pedi, and he only gave me a regular one. I also told him I wanted black with a gold flower (of course to get ready for CU Buffs Spring Game), but he only did black. I am pleased with only the $20.00 bill but my feet are sad about the lack of cutsy!

Evening Out, Just Me and Matt

I had a great evening with my sweet hubby. We didn't do much really, but it was a perfect evening for us. He took me to Abuelos for dinner, then took me shopping for new tennis shoes, followed by getting stuff for the house at Lowes.

As always Abuelos was great. It was a no swirl night, but we both had amazing enchiladas. I tried to tell Matt to order their spinach side and he said no way. Well I ordered it and he ended up eating half of mine because, I was right as usual, he loved it.

We then went to Academy and started looking for new tennis shoes for me. I had the great idea, from a student, of how I could get exercise in my day, so I of course needed new shoes. Today I taught a mini-lesson on our bodies and what we can do to make them better. We talked about exercising and the children asked if I exercised often. I AM HONEST WITH THEM, so I said no. I need to but I have a busy life and to be honest I always make excuses. After the lesson and the children completed their assignments, I had a student, a beautiful, sweet girl, come to me and say that she had an idea of how I could get exercise and not interfere with my time. I asked her how she thought I could do that. She said, "You could come with us to PE sometimes and play with us." I said that it was a good idea but sometimes I don't wear shoes that I are good for PE. She agreed and walked away. Well being persistent, she came back to me and said, "You know about your shoes, I bring my tennis shoes when I wear flip flops and just change, you could do that. " It just slapped me in the face. It is being presented to me in a kind way, and I now have no excuse. So starting tomorrow I plan to go to PE with my kids AT LEAST 2 times a week. I told the PE teacher so maybe he would help hold me accountable, though the kids will do it on their own I am sure. "Out of the mouths of babes." So back to my new shoes, after I found the right ones, these cute Nikes that are grey and maroon, GO McMURRY!!!!, we headed out on another shopping journey.

Our last stop for the night was Lowes. Our stray dog that wouldn't go away 2 months ago is ours now, so we are making a dog-run on the side of the house so we can have him but be able to put him up when the boys, who do not care for him, can play in the yard and feel safe.

Overall we had a great night. Time together, conversation, and no yelling kids is always a good night. Oh I must say, we did make a stop by DQ for ice cream on the way home. No better way to end the night then with a waffle bowl with ice cream, whip cream, caramel, and nuts. YUMMO!!!!!!!
